Questions from @AlexTomlinson via Twitter: Does anybody know why illustrator changes the value of black when I copy and paste my illustrations?
Answer: Make sure the both the source and destination documents share the same color space (RGB or CMYK) . Copying and pasting from RGB to CMYK (or vice versa) will change the value of some colors, most noticeably black.
